Prayer For America by Poker Face

Do you believe in the wisdom expressed in the founding documents of Western civilization and American society including the Bible, the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution with its Bill of Rights?

Do you have respect for people who work hard and play by the rules?

Do you believe in the Rule of Law – that a law means what it says, as the language of the law was understood when the law was written. Do you reject the idea of a Living Constitution, under which lawyers and judges can change laws by undemocratic means. If judges are allowed such power, Jefferson noted, the U.S. Constitution “is a mere thing of wax in the hands of the Judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please.”

Do you believe that “the public interest” – as determined by governing elites – is not the public interest, but that it represents the interests of the governing elites.

Do you reject the worship of government power that is reflected in such fascist ideologies as communism, national socialism (Nazism), and theocracy. Do you believe that communists, national socialists, theocrats, racists, and other advocates of oppression and hate should be ostracized.

Do you believe that individuals and families are the basic units of society, and that policies such as ultra-high tax rates should be ended?

Do you believe that military force should be used with care, in limited circumstances in which the freedom and the just interests of those paying for the military force are at stake. Do you believe that government officials should not put American servicemen in harm’s way without giving them a clearly-defined mission and the resources they need for victory.

Do you respect those who have made sacrifices in the cause of freedom, and those who put their lives in peril to protect others.

Do you believe that people have the right to protect their families and businesses from criminals.

Do you see the United States of America as a special place because of its history as a beacon for freedom-loving people from around the world. Do you believe the United States is blessed by the presence of people from countless nations and cultures when those people are hard-working, law-abiding, and eager to interact with other Americans through a shared language.

Do you believe that public policy should encourage advancement based on ability and achievement, not on membership in an actual or concocted group.

Do you believe that people should be treated fairly – that, in the words of Martin Luther King Jr., they should “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character” – and that racism, anti-Semitism, ridicule of groups such as Southerners and rural people, hatred of Christians (or particular groups of Christians), and other forms of bigotry are unacceptable. Do you consider policies based on “race” to be unethical and immoral.

Do you have compassion for the oppressed and seek peacefully to free them from oppression.

Do you abhor violence and reject the initiation of force in settling political disputes.

After saving and preparing for years, it was just over a year ago that Chris Stevens quit his job to begin devoting himself completely to the Jesus 4 King Project. Thanks to the generous support of fellow saints, we continue our efforts. We hope to encourage and motivate you with a report on the highlights of what we’ve learned and accomplished over the last year.

Finishing our four revolutionary study guides was the first project we completed. These are useful tools for a new generation of truth seekers, and are available for free from anywhere in the world at JesusForKing.com! These guides are mostly positive; focusing on living a victorious Christian life and other New Testament teachings rather than refuting the latest false doctrines.

Next we launched targeted campaigns in several cities that planted thousands of seeds through street preaching, internet advertising, and calling the religious and political establishment to repentance. God knows the full impact of these efforts which were calculated to imitate men of faith throughout Scripture.

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. (Matt 9:37-38)

Public proclamation has always been a powerful form of communication, and we look forward to reaping more fruit by doing more of it. We are helping plant simple/home churches in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Boise. Plus, we now have the ability to conduct personal consultations and small group workshops anywhere in the world with interactive video webcasts.

We also discovered storying, which has proven to be an extremely effective way to spread the gospel. Learning styles partially explain why it works so well. We don’t have the room here to expound, but we have produced an eBook and Audio Book available free at Jesus4King.org!

We also discovered that it’s amazingly easier to plant churches based on the New Testament pattern than it is to plant churches based on the traditions of men. It takes a ridiculous amount of time and money to establish contemporary traditions. When compared with the apostle Paul’s church planting methods, this is a clue that we should reexamine our methods.

We spent the last six months making a paradigm shift from organized religion to pristine Christianity. So that others can get it quicker, we published our comparisons as an interactive eBook called The Spiritual Revolution, available free at Jesus4King.net!

We have an awesome God Who is preparing what we believe will be the greatest spiritual revolution yet! We are excited to be a part of it. Please pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified.

Jesus 4 King Project Endorses
Ron Paul 4 President

There are more reasons to endorse Ron Paul than we can list here. We invite you to visit RonPaul2008.com because we think you’ll agree with him on most issues, as do so many other Americans once they discover him.

We do want to point out what we consider to be one of the biggest issues that set him apart from all the other candidates, and that is the issue of War and Foreign Policy.

Despite three quarters of the American public being against the war in Iraq, much of the religious and political establishment continues to insist on sacrificing lives and bankrupting our country, with no end in sight.

Since when did the religion of ‘turn the other cheek’ become the religion of ‘do unto others before they can do unto you’? Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.” (Matt 11:12) Warmongering crusaders have hijacked Christianity!

America is at a crossroads. She can continue down the suicidal path of self-destruction, or she can return to the principles of freedom contained in the founding documents, largely inspired by the word of God.

If you continue to do what you’ve always done, you’ll continue to get what you’ve always got. The media-anointed candidates want to stay the course, arguing only over specifics. Ron Paul wants to return to the principles of freedom.

Before the internet had become mainstream, nobody would’ve heard about Ron Paul because the establishment media controlled what everyone heard, effectively stifling any opposition to their agenda. These are the same folks that smear Jesus Christ every chance they get.

The people of America have had enough of the establishment telling them what to think. At such a time as this, the Jesus 4 King Project is calling on Christians and all Americans of good conscience to join the revolution and elect Ron Paul for President of these United States.

Ron Paul 2008 - Hope for America

“The war in Iraq was sold to us with false information. The area is more dangerous now than when we entered it. We destroyed a regime hated by our direct enemies, the jihadists, and created thousands of new recruits for them. This war has cost more than 3,000 American lives, thousands of seriously wounded, and hundreds of billions of dollars. We must have new leadership in the White House to ensure this never happens again.

“Both Jefferson and Washington warned us about entangling ourselves in the affairs of other nations. Today, we have troops in 130 countries. We are spread so thin that we have too few troops defending America. And now, there are new calls for a draft of our young men and women.

“We can continue to fund and fight no-win police actions around the globe, or we can refocus on securing America and bring the troops home. No war should ever be fought without a declaration of war voted upon by the Congress, as required by the Constitution.

“Under no circumstances should the U.S. again go to war as the result of a resolution that comes from an unelected, foreign body, such as the United Nations.

“Too often we give foreign aid and intervene on behalf of governments that are despised. Then, we become despised. Too often we have supported those who turn on us, like the Kosovars who aid Islamic terrorists, or the Afghan jihadists themselves, and their friend Osama bin Laden. We armed and trained them, and now we’re paying the price.

“At the same time, we must not isolate ourselves. The generosity of the American people has been felt around the globe. Many have thanked God for it, in many languages. Let us have a strong America, conducting open trade, travel, communication, and diplomacy with other nations.”

Ron Paul 2008 - Hope for America

More about Paul

Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution.

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

Unconventional Project Does What Organized Religion Can’t

Salt Lake City – The Jesus 4 King project is conducting workshops in Utah in November and December to help people become spiritual leaders of their families and communities. Interested volunteers can utilize free resources from Jesus4King.org, where they can also sign up to host a small group workshop.

These things are not being done in a corner. Community and religious leaders are being contacted and asked to repent and obey God. Community leaders are warned of the public consequences for failing to be godly stewards, while religious leaders are called to account for consuming people’s focus, efforts, and resources with the traditions of men.

Chris Stevens, founder of Jesus4King.org, says, “In order to stay in business, organized religion has to create the illusion that people must depend on them in order to connect with God. They are a counterfeit savior. We help people break free from their guilt-induced control and develop a highly relational home church.”

Claiming to be part of a growing movement of people around the world who are rejecting “manmade Christianity” in favor of pursuing genuine spirituality, Chris says, “There is a spiritual revolution underway because many people want to make a difference but are ill-prepared because of the pervasive ‘leave-it-to-the-experts’ propaganda. This mentality has impacted society in a lot of negative ways; with families probably hurt the most.”

He continues, “The priesthood of all believers is a New Testament concept that is rarely emphasized by those whose paycheck or social status depends on unbiblical perceptions. These are usually the ones who are most aggressively opposed to the spiritual revolution.”

The Jesus 4 King project seeks to enlist, enable, and encourage volunteers to develop highly relational small groups where people help themselves and each other to grow spiritually and stay engaged and involved in meaningful work. Visit Jesus4King.org to volunteer or learn more.

ABOUT – Jesus4King.org was launched to combat Biblical illiteracy and anti-Christian influences, which many say are the cause of unhealthy and often violent problems plaguing our culture, including: widespread corruption; dishonesty; drug and alcohol abuse; sex abuse; welfare dependency and bankruptcy; and the ethical/moral/religious/family decline.

Project Works to Deconstruct the Establishment

“The established church is imploding and the Jesus 4 King project is helping people escape.” They say they are part of a growing movement of people around the world who are rejecting “manmade Christianity” in favor of pursuing genuine spirituality.

But they are also calling for community leaders to be godly public servants that protect and uphold justice for all. In the Boise area, they are contacting dozens of leaders asking them to repent and obey God, and warning of the public consequences if they don’t.

Chris Stevens started Jesus4King.org to enlist, enable, and encourage individuals and families to take responsibility for their spiritual growth rather than depending on ‘professionals’. He helps volunteers develop highly relational small groups where people help themselves and each other to grow spiritually and stay engaged and involved in meaningful work.

Chris says, “There is a spiritual revolution underway because many people want to make a difference, but are ill-prepared because of the pervading leave-it-to-the-experts mentality. This mentality impacts the whole society in a lot of negative ways, with families probably hurt most.”

Religious leaders are being called to account for consuming people’s focus, efforts, and resources with the traditions of men. Chris claims that organized religion fails to help people become godly leaders because if it did it would go out of business.

Here’s how Jesus4King.org describes first century Christianity: Day by day, from house to house, they met for fellowship, prayer, studying the word of God, and on the first day of the week they gathered to eat the Lord’s Supper. This was like a family get-together in someone’s home to enjoy a love feast, and each had a psalm, a teaching, an exhortation.

“The priesthood of all believers is a New Testament concept that is rarely emphasized by those whose paycheck and social status depends on unbiblical perceptions. These are usually the ones who are most aggressively opposed to the spiritual revolution,” said Chris.

Please visit Jesus4King.org to learn more, or visit JesusForKing.com if you’re ready to enlist.

ABOUT – Jesus4King.org promotes the Lord Jesus Christ. It was launched to combat Biblical illiteracy, which many say is the cause of unhealthy and often violent problems plaguing our culture, including: widespread corruption; dishonesty; drug and alcohol abuse; sex abuse; welfare dependency and bankruptcy; and the ethical/moral/religious/family decline.

Southern Idaho the September Focus of Jesus 4 King Project

TWIN FALLS – Chris Stevens and his family are traveling coast to coast calling the country to repentance and obedience to God. They are contacting community leaders and will be in front of the Twin Falls County Courthouse at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 11th, enlisting volunteers in the battle against Biblical illiteracy and anti-Christian influences.

Chris is the founder of JesusForKing.com, which serves as the training and communications hub of the Jesus 4 King project. He is available for personal consultations, public speaking engagements, and media interviews for the Magic Valley in September. The next stop is Boise in October, and then on to Utah, Nevada, and California.

“According to the Bible,” Chris says, “God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”

Not the typical approach to Christianity, they are calling community leaders to account and they are out in people’s homes telling Bible stories and discussing righteousness, self-control, and judgment to come. They are planting reproducible Jesus 4 King small groups around southern Idaho that teach a firmly grounded faith, transformation of character, training in spiritual warfare, and successful stewardship.

Chris says, “We’re not out to reform the government or other institutions; we’re out to restore people to God.” This idea of restoration became a movement in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries after freedom was won in America. A wide cross-section of people from different denominations and countries, many unknown to each other, quit trying to reform the traditions and creeds of men and attempted a simple and genuine obedience to the Bible.

Similar to what happened two hundred years ago, there is an emerging movement of people around the world today who are rejecting manmade decrees in favor of simple, New Testament Christianity. The main thrust of the restoration movement continues to be a plea to return to the word of God as the basis for unity among believers and as the sole authority in everything pertaining to life and godliness.

Reproducible Jesus 4 King small groups are designed to spread to every neighborhood in the region, and may be held at any time of day. Anyone who’s looking for simple spirituality and meaningful growth can visit JesusForKing.com and volunteer to host a Jesus 4 King small group in their neighborhood.

POCATELLO – JesusForKing.com team members will be in front of the Bannock County Courthouse on Thursday afternoon, August 16th, from 3:00 to 5:00, enlisting volunteers in the battle against Biblical illiteracy and anti-Christian influences. Media and community leaders along with the people of southeast Idaho are invited to participate.

Theirs is not the typical approach to Christianity. They are calling on community leaders to repent and obey God and they are out in people’s homes telling Bible stories and discussing righteousness, self-control, and judgment to come.

Chris Stevens, the founder of JesusForKing.com, says, “We start with storytelling, which is a fun and effective way to get a bird’s-eye view of the Bible. You get your family and friends together to listen to a story and discuss its meaning. It’s simply a blast!”

They are seeking volunteers to host neighborhood Jesus 4 King small groups. In addition to storytelling, they talk about a firmly grounded faith, transformation of character, training in spiritual warfare, and successful stewardship. There are no costs involved.

Through much research and experience, Chris has found that most people don’t learn best through lecture-style teaching, which is common to most churches. He concluded that this is one of the factors contributing to the decline of Christian principles in American society.

Most people learn best through group discussion; and learning retention is highest for those sharing with others. Recognizing that there are different learning styles and various factors that contribute to learning retention, Chris also wrote four study guides that are available for free at JesusForKing.com.

Reproducible Jesus 4 King small groups are designed to spread to every neighborhood in the region, and may be held at any time of day. Those who wish to get involved can visit the courthouse on Thursday afternoon or visit JesusForKing.com anytime.
