IDAHO FALLS – JesusForKing.com team members will be in front of the Bonneville County Courthouse on Tuesday afternoon, July 24th, from 3:30 to 5:30, enlisting people in the battle against Biblical illiteracy and anti-Christian influences.
Theirs is not the typical approach to Christianity. They are calling on community leaders to repent and obey God and they are out in people’s homes telling Bible stories and discussing righteousness, self-control, and judgment to come.
Chris Stevens, the founder of JesusForKing.com, says, “We start with storytelling, which is a fun and effective way to get a bird’s-eye view of the Bible. You get your family and friends together to listen to a story and discuss its meaning. It’s simply a blast!”
They are seeking volunteers to host neighborhood Jesus 4 King small groups. In addition to storytelling, they talk about a firmly grounded faith, transformation of character, training in spiritual warfare, and successful stewardship. There are no costs involved.
Through much research and experience, Chris has found that most people don’t learn best through lecture-style teaching, which is common to most churches. He concluded that this is one of the factors contributing to the decline of Christian principles in American society.
Most people learn best through group discussion; and learning retention is highest for those sharing with others. Recognizing that there are different learning styles and various factors that contribute to learning retention, Chris also wrote four study guides that are available for free at JesusForKing.com.

POCATELLO – Chris Stevens of JesusForKing.com is contacting community leaders and the people of southeast Idaho, discussing righteousness, self-control, and judgment to come. The evangelist and his family plan on traveling coast to coast calling the country to repentance and obedience to God, training others along the way. The next stops are Twin Falls in September, Boise in October, and then on to Utah, Nevada, and California.
Community leaders are being contacted directly while Jesus 4 King team members are also engaging people at public settings around the area. They are setting up reproducible small groups around southeast Idaho that teach a firmly grounded faith, transformation of character, training in spiritual warfare, and successful stewardship. Chris will be available for personal consultations, public speaking engagements, and media interviews in July and August.
“According to the Bible,” Chris says, “God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”
