A response to johnnypeepers. How can law be constitutional if it is unconstitutional you have to go back to the original intent. Some reading material I would suggest is the declaration of independence, holy bible, federalist and anti federalist, constitution, the law by Frederic Bastiat. When you are finished with that I have more reading material. when you read the federalist papers you will find that anything that contradicts the constitution of the united states is null and void this is the law. So opposing current law is not unconstitutional since the law itself is unconstitutional. Ron Paul is very consistent because he upholds the original intent, remember the laws are null and void.

Wouldn't the ability for the doctor to terminate the fetal mass prior to delivery minimize his potential for liability? The longer it sits in the womb, the more shit can go wrong with it.

Did you mean to type logical "phallacy"? If you did, it is fitting and funny as hell.

I do not see what civil malpractice liability has to do with fundamental constitutional rights. You have confused me with the conflation.

A resolution to remove federal jurisdiction in the area of fundamental rights protection would be impossible without a constitutional amendment. He can put forth all of the H.R. bills he wants, but they cannot be legally enacted.

I agree it should be handles at the state level too. But to oppose existing law is tantamount to opposing the constitution. The constitution is law, as is supreme court jurisprudence interpreting the constitution per Marbury v. Madison.

I think he is inconsistent and need to explain to the american people why he is wrong.

Hey Johnny Peepers,

Actual, your part right. Dr. Paul is pro-life and against Roe Vs. Wade and there are 2 reasons why. First, from a physician's perspective, the unborn are given rights at conception, meaning he can be sued and have his livelihood taken if he does harm to the unborn. So, there is a logical phallacy to say that in the one case it is a person with legal rights but can still be terminated at will.

The second issue is that Roe V. Wade is not constitutionally sound. Even the liberal Justice Ginsburg has written that the Roe decision is bad constitutional interpretation. What he has done as a member of the house is to introduce legislation that removes Federal Court Jurisdiction from this issue, which is the action that congress can take to check the judiciary in our system of branches checking th power of each other. Then it would be left up to the states to decide individually.

Dr. Paul has stated many times, he doesn't want to be president of anyone's life. And he has also stated that in his opinion the more complicated an issue is the more local it ought to be. No one can argue that the abortion issue is not one of the more complex, divisive and polarizing issues in America today and for this reason, and I agree with him, it ought to be handled at the state level.

I could be wrong, but isn't he opposed Roe v. Wade? The fundamental RoP was found in 1965 by the Supreme Court. They determined that certain penumbras in the bill of rights created a RoP. I think Paul does not believe that based on his views on Roe.

please give example of when Ron Paul respect individual privacy, Johnny. All RP has done is try to protect individual rights...Ron Paul is honest and cannot be corrupted with a PERFECT Constitutional voting record. The choice is clear...RP for president or bust.
